Nice, comfortable place to stay in the city. |Pleasant staff. Clean facilities. Comfortable bed and pillows. Safe street that is close to the subway station. Nicely decorated facilities. There will be some noise from the stairs but nothing to worry much about.
Undoubtedly a very basic hotel. However, if you are simply after a room for the night or several nights then this hotel provides a clean room with a comfortable bed, aircon and a tv. Our room also had a fridge/mini freezer, microwave, electric hob and toaster. More electric sockets would have been helpful.
The bathroom is shared between several rooms but was always found and left in a clean state with bath/shower, toilet and sink.
The location is very good being close to the north side Central Park and a couple of Subway stations. There are also shops and a supermarket nearby.
The overview is that the hotel is basic and if you are after a ‘luxury’ hotel experience then this is not the place for you. However, for a cheaper alternative, well-located and clean then I would recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Central Park North. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was perfectly located - close enough to everything with a 20 minute metro ride at most. Would definitely stay again next time we visit NYC.
My friends and I stayed here over this past weekend on the first floor. Place was super clean upon arrival. Really unbeatable prices for Manhattan too. It is shared bathrooms, but that was shared before booking the room. I’m not quite sure why people are shocked by that in their reviews. Staff was friendly as well. As stated in other reviews, subway station by the hotel is a little sketchy at night, but other than that, it is a good residential area. The front doors have a code on them so random people can’t just walk in. If shared showers freak you out, I’d bring shower shoes. The Central Park North served its purpose very nicely. For 4 people the room was quite sizable for NYC too. If I need a place to stay in the city, this is the place to be!

The coordination previous our arrival was awesome. Mails were answered almost at the time.
When arriving there, we had no problems leaving luggage prior the check in time.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. Clean bed clothing and towels for the bathroom. Bathroom and restroom really clean.
Location 10/10 really accesible for express lines 2 and 3 of the metro at 111th central park north subway station (50m away from the hotel entrance) really accesibble to all the city and connections, to central park too.
The neighbordooh felt safe at all time. No noise from the other people in the hotel. Hotel does not include food but there are restaurants near. Additionally the room had microwave and fridge where we kept food to eat at he room.
Wonderful location and amenities for the price. Cool decor. Very chill stay and attracted a similar crowd to my group. The Central Park north stop is a little sus at night, but not terrible in a group.
